The so-called Chinese 'rice pattern porcelain' is probably the most well-known. During the production of this type of China, a grain of rice is put into the porcelain and when ( after baking it), you hold it to the light, the light beams will go through the article via the grains of rice.

From Japan we import porcelain of a specially beautiful quality. This is however more expensive than the Chinese porcelain, but this you can definitely tell.
